Standard Visit

The Standard guided visit around the monastery includes: the entrance patio with a Gothic tower, the orange tree patio, the Moorish cloisters, the old church with a baroque chapel, the old chapterhouse with the image of the Virgin of Health, the refectory, the olive oil mill with a fresco by Father Borrás, the grain storehouse, the wine press, the stables and the old friars' kitchen, as well as the extraordinarily beautiful superior cloister, where the polychrome Gothic sculptures are particularly outstanding, the 'puerta de los leones' (the lions’ gate) and the monastery’s hall of arms, the impressive romantic gardens and the Gothic aqueduct in the surrounding area.

The guided tours always run on time..

The guided tour lasts for approximately two hours, including a 20 minute audiovisual presentation. The presentation is also available in English.

Individuals

If you are visiting as an individual, it is not necessary to book in advance to visit the Monastery. Entrance tickets can be purchased at the monastery itself. Please see the opening hours.

Groups (15 people or more)

Advance bookings are necessary for visits by groups. “Groups” are considered as having a minimum of 15 people. Organised groups may visit the Monastery during the same visiting hours as individuals, as well as on any week day. Advance bookings should be made by contacting the Monastery’s reception office. Please ask us for more information.

  • 10.00 a.m. - 11.30 a.m. Unguided tour.

  • 11.30 p.m. Guided tour.

Sundays

  • 11.30 a.m. Guided tour.

Extraordinary visiting dates and times

"Porrat of Ròtova" - Easter - San Vicente long-weekend - Live music concerts in summer "Music in Sant Jeroni" - December long-weekend - Christmas

Standard visit price

  • Individuals:6 / Youth card & Pensioners: 5 / Under-7s: Free.

  • Groups: 5.
  • Handicapped and persons with limited mobility: € 4 (it doesn't include the access to the superior cloister and the refectory).

Joint visit to the Monastery and the Ducal Palace of Gandia

Joint visit thought for those groups and individuals who want to approach the history of two of the most important monuments of La Safor area.

  • Individuals: It's not necessary to book in advance. Please check the opening hours of both monuments.
  • Groups: Advance bookings are necessary at the Monastery's Reception Office or at the Ducal Palace of Gandia.
  • Visit price to the Monastery and the Ducal Palace of Gandia:  € 10 / Educational centers and under-18s: € 5 / Under-7s: Free.
Joint visit to the Monasteries of Sant Jeroni de Cotalba and Santa Maria de la Valldigna
  • Discount of € 1 in both monuments.
